I am tempted to list excuses for why I'm behind, but there are no excuses. Writing is either a priority or it isn't.
However, all is not lost. According to my progress chart, if I write 2030 words per day, I can still do this.
In the end however, I'm not going to be too hard on myself. After all, every word written - whether it's 50,000 or not - is a word I didn't have before.
On that note, I've just viewed the progress of my Nano buddies and some of you guys are doing awesome! Way to go Wrimos!
How's everyone else doing? Feeling?

Just wishing you good luck, Nienke. I'm thrilled to see you getting in the groove!
I know how it feels to fall behind on your NaNo. But don't worry. You'll catch up! Don't stop writing... :)
You can do it!
(This from someone who is behind, too!)
Having said that, I signed up for NaNo to get my butt in gear and I've already written more words and had better ideas than in October--so it's certainly progress!
Good luck! It's all about putting yourself in the chair--and staying there!
I didn't write anything on my NaNo yesterday or today (so far). But I have been writing on my jelly blog, so that's something....not that it will appear on my word count.
Nienke, all it takes is a better than average day or two and you'll be back on pace.
I'm well ahead of schedule and I took today off to bask in the afterglow of last night's election results.
Tomorrow morning, it's back to my novel.
Robbie - your word count scares me.
Everyone else - thank you so much for your support. You may not realize how much it helps.
I'm just gonna keep on writin'!
Today was a bust for me too. I'm not doing nano, but I try and write everyday. My mind was just all over the place.
I'm thinking the same. Every word is one I didn't have before. We still have a chance, though. Go, Nienke! You can do it! I'll be cheering for you.
In from vox, I'm anactoria. I'm behind with good excuses too: computer crash at work, water leak in flat, having to move for the weekend... But you are right: it's a priority or it isn't. So, during the laundry marathon I'll have nothing else to do but catch up. I'm also eschewing the gallery show tonight to prioritise properly. Your page here has some great resources, so I had to drop in to say hello, thanks, and good luck! ^_^
That's the spirit, Nienke! Once you get into the flow, 2000+ words per day isnt't that bad, and one key is to keep writing when you're in the flow. That can make up for several mediocre days. (Shhh. We aren't talking about the sometime challenges of getting into the flow.)
But, really, as you say, any words are more than no words, so keep writin' 'em.
I'm behind, too, but no worries. There are still 20 glorious writing days ahead of us! You can absolutely catch up. I know I will --- I just have to keep writing.
It ain't over 'til it's over.
Keep going. Whether you reach the target or not, you will have an awesome number of words by the end of this month. No small accomplishment, that. GOOD LUCK!
