Happiest Woman Alive

Those who know me know how much my pets mean to me. Well, I apologize for not being around much this past while, but my kitty, Cairo, has been very sick. In fact, I thought I was going to have to put him down this morning, but he showed signs of improvement over the weekend, so he's coming home.

Long story short, we thought his liver failed because he was unable to metabolize the drugs he had for an operation for bladder stones. He showed no sign of improvement last week so the vet and I decided to just wait out the weekend and see. One of the technicians at the clinic actually took him home to watch him (way above and beyond the call of duty, I might add). So, when the call came this morning, I said to the vet, "Please tell me you have good news."

"I do," he said.

I am so happy. Welcome home, Cairo.

Thank you to everyone at the Morningside Animal Clinic.

Oh, good news!!! He looks so thin in that picture. I hope you get to fatten him up a little now. And get lots of furry kisses.

Aww, I'm glad your sweetie is okay. It's so hard to see them sick.

Very relieving isn't it!
My two girls (female cats, Schatzi and Juanita) are like two children!

Hello,
I have to say I kept my writing in secret for awhile, but even though Im not published yet, Im proud of what I write and I wont ever quit no matter what someone says. Some will love what we write, and some will hate it. But all that matters is your happiness and you should be happy when you write!!!

I found your website through Michelle Willingham's site. We belong to CRW(Chesapeake Romance Writers) and RWA together and live in SE VA. I looked at your site and it looks great. Im a writer, but I write fantasy romance/paranormal romance as a series but I want them to also stand alone.

Im trying to get the book out there. I found an excellent agent who told me in Feb 07 that if I rewrite it in 3rd and cut 10k words....I was at 106,000, and she liked it which she told me she most likely would, that she will sign me. Id like to chat sometime if you get the chance,Im also looking for a critique partner since my local RWA chapter is full if you know anyone, please let me know. Also please feel free to check out my email or website. I have pics from when my hubbie and I went to Ireland in oct 06.

Sincerely,

I wanted to share a poem I pubblished becasue for some people it can be their writing friends and partners this pertains too: Times of Need: IN times of need, I look to you. To see your strength, your love. You are there through everything calling me to rise above. You are my strength, my hope, my inspiration, the only one I need. To conqueor life and fufill my writing dreams that only I dream. (written and published by Heidi C. Dahlquist)

Oh, poor kitty! I'm glad he's feeling better. I always get totally freaked out when one of our cats gets sick, and it's such a relief when everything turns out okay.
