Happy Valentine's Day to yourself

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you and your significant other enjoy the traditions of this day of love and romance. However, this is also a perfect opportunity to show some love to yourself. Lately, I've become a proponent of self-courtship. We are so busy taking care of clients, children, and spouses, that we end up putting ourselves on the bottom of the list. So, I propose we all do something for ourselves today in honour of Valentine.

I'll go first. If I could give myself anything, I'd probably choose this (sorry dh):

But we all know this is unlikely to happen. I've left it much too late.

So, instead, I will treat myself to a manicure and pedicure and then go get my hair done (the works) at the best local hair salon. Then, I'll go shopping and buy myself a new pair of leather gloves. On the way home I will pick up some fresh spring flowers.

Then, hubby is taking me out for dinner (if he doesn't see my original gift to myself first!).

What would (will) you do/get for yourself in honor of St. Valentine?

Hello, Michele sent me!

Sounds like you have a great plan. My plan is to get home and have a mini spa day with a facial mask, soak in the tub, and lots of candles. Then my husband and I are having a pizza and wine picnic in front of the fireplace. No kids, no t, no distractions!

Happy heart day!

LOL I always buy myself the best gift every year, peace on earth (or at least in my little piece of it), this is achieved by buying my significant other a HUGE bouquet of roses, a card, a small gift and a romantic meal at our favourite Thai resturant. Without these items there would be no peace in my little piece of the world until wifey's birthday LOL.

Michele sent me once, but I keep coming back LOL

Looking at myself in the mirror this morning, one thing I'd like to get for myself is a haircut to hack off all this old hair and start fresh. Unfortunately, I've been placed on a hair moratorium until after my sister's wedding since I'm the maid of honor, and she has Great Plans for my hair on the Big Day.

Have a great day!

Oh my, can I have that for Valentine's Day? Boy, he is hot. We're going to have a nice dinner. Like every other holiday, it has become a kids' holiday at my house.

Thanks for visiting my blog! You are so right about not even realizing you are reading when the writing is spot on. Luckily, I am expecting a book like that in the mail soon...at least, the author has not let me down before...

Sorry, I was about to answer your question, but I got distracted by the hunk. My brain cells are on temporary hiatus.
